OLO is a co-working space and creative workshop in Trondheim, Norway. In 2023 we gathered up some of the talented freelancers working here, as well as friends and acquiantances, to make a fun creative advent calendar to share on our instagram page, which featured a variety of illustration, motion graphics, music and design.

Every day we presented a new creator, and a piece of theirs. Most people created something specifically for the calendar, others tweaked older work. So scroll down to have a peek at what we all did!

DOOR 1: Maia Arstad
Maia is an illustrator working in stylized, colorful and charming styles. She's the inhouse illustrator at Skogen design agency here in Trondheim, which is right down the hall from our offices.

DOOR 2: Camilla Dahlstrøm
Camilla is a designer and illustrator working for Iterate in Oslo. She's currently out with her first graphic novel, Soluna, which is what she's mostly been working on while here at our office. You can read more about Soluna here.

DOOR 3: Viktorija Belo
Viktorija is a freelance illustrator working out of OLO. She drawns inspiration from folk tales and pop culture, and loves working in bold color scemes. She works mainly digitally, but is also very adept in linocut.

DOOR 4: Peter Clayborough
Peter is a freelance animator working out of OLO, who specialises in frame by frame animation. He is also part of the animation studio The Branch, who just finished their short film "Dødens Praktikant".

DOOR 5: Allan Grønseth Ohr
Allan is a freelance illustrator who's worked at OLO since 2017. He draws inspiration from lowbrow, rubberhose and pop art - and works in both surrealistic cartoony styles, and more naturalistic detailed work.

DOOR 6: Sylvia Stølan
Sylvia is one of the founders of OLO, and worked here until 2018. She's an illustrator who works in a variety of mediums and styles, including screen print, collage, inks and digital.

DOOR 7: Kasper Pindsle
Kasper "Pinkas" Pindsle is a motion designer working at the design agency Utbrudd. He also previously worked freelance from our office for a handful of years. He also dabbles as a youtuber on the side, where he focuses on deep dives into the synthwave music word.

DOOR 8: Erlend Kristiansen
Erlend is a motion designer and animator working in-house at Skogen Design. Previously he worked freelance here at OLO for about 4 years. He specializes in character animation, and has recently expanded his field into 3D.

DOOR 10: Jørgen Jenssen
Jørgen is a 3D-artist and motion designer based here at OLO. He works primarily in Blender, but utilizes a whole host of other programs as well, and has done work in the games and VR fields.

DOOR 11: Kristian Skogmo
Skogmo is a motion designer and 3D artist, who also has experience editing, photography, video creation and various 3D and games software. He previously worked freelance from OLO, but is employed at Parabel in Oslo today.

DOOR 12: Asbjørn Lote / Polyfjord
Asbjørn Lote is a 3D generalist and teacher who mainly makes tutorial videos for youtube. He has a particular eye for lighting and camera technique - and also does some commercial work. He used to work out of OLO, but recently moved away.

DOOR 13: Audun Løkås
Audun is an animator who specializes in frame by frame animation. He's also skilled in digital illustration. He's also part of the The Branch agency.

DOOR 14: Rudi Simmons
Rudi is a tv-editor and musician. He works with electronical music, and plays the bass.

DOOR 15: Marte Vik Eriksen
Known as Epletyv, Marte is a designer and typographer who works in a variety of styles, but specializes in brush lettering.

DOOR 16: Espen Aksetøy
Espen is a 3D motion designer, and one half of the design agency Knæpp.

DOOR 17: Ingrid Blix Dyrseth
Ingrid is an illustrator and designer who works in a variety of styles and mediums. Paints, murals, sculpting and various printing techniques. She also has some animation experience. She's also the one who made our advent calendar illustration.

DOOR 18: Margrete Indahl
Margrete is an illustrator and designer who worked out of OLO a few years ago. She's especially adept in ink drawing.

DOOR 18: Hamish Hay
Hamish is a designer who also works a bit in marketing. He also has experience in city planning, and runs a consulting firm in water management.

DOOR 20: Sunniva Tønne
Sunniva is an illustrator who works in a variety of mediums. Aquarelles, inks and digital. She has also started some mural work - and also does a bit of crocheting.

DOOR 21: Una Ciu
Una is a digital artist and character designer who specializes in concept art and work towards the game industry. She also has some animation experience.

DOOR 22: Daniel Dahn
Daniel is one of the OLO founders. He's an illustrator and animator who currently works as an art director for Breach VR in Trondheim. He's also part of the illustration group Birgers Oterutleie.

DOOR 23: Erlend Viken
Erlend is primarily a musician, also known as Gianty Sky. He's also an artist who dabbles in ink and screen print as well though, and does all of his own merch and branding for Giant Sky.

Kristian is a designer and motion designer. He's the second half of the aforementioned Knæpp agency.
